She was born in Bangalore and was born in Copenhagen. When she was in her teens, Padukone competed at the national badminton tournaments level. But, she resigned from the sport in order to make a profession as designer. Padukone is a native of Mangalore, Indian. Her native language Konkani is where she comes from. Her ancestors hail from the town of Padukone within the Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state, which is located in India.
